Terms & Conditions
The terms that apply when you enrol in tuition and use the online platform at The Learning Cave.
Last updated: July 2026
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern enrolment in tuition programmes and use of the online practice platform provided by The Learning Cave ("we", "us"). By enrolling a student or using the platform, you (the student and, where the student is a minor, the parent or legal guardian) agree to these Terms.
1. Enrolment & registration
A place in a class is confirmed once the first month's fees have been received. You agree to provide accurate student and contact details. Each student is issued one personal platform account for their own use only.
2. Free trial
New students may attend one free trial lesson before enrolling, with no obligation to continue. The trial is intended to let the student experience our teaching and platform first-hand.
3. Fees & payment
Group tuition fees are charged per block of 4 lessons, in advance, and are payable before the block begins. Payment is made by card via our secure billing system. There is no registration deposit. Current group fees are:
| Level | Group programme | Fee |
|---|---|---|
| Sec 3 / IP 3 | Weekly 2-hour lesson | $340 / 4 lessons |
| Sec 4 / IP 4 | Weekly 2-hour lesson | $360 / 4 lessons |
| JC 1 (H1 / H2) | Weekly 2-hour lesson | $400 / 4 lessons |
| JC 2 (H1 / H2) | Weekly 2-hour lesson | $440 / 4 lessons |
All prices in SGD. Lower Secondary / IP 1–2 and private (1-to-1) tuition rates are available on enquiry.
Fees are reviewed periodically. We will give reasonable advance notice of any change to fees.
4. Withdrawal & notice period
To withdraw from a group class, we require one month's (4 weeks') written notice, which may be given by WhatsApp or email. Fees remain payable for lessons falling within the notice period. As no deposit is collected, there is nothing to refund on withdrawal.
5. Attendance, make-up & missed lessons
Where possible, a missed group lesson may be made up in another available group slot for the same level and subject, subject to availability. If a suitable make-up slot is not available, the student will receive the lesson recording, all lesson materials, and continued access to the platform for that topic, so nothing is missed. Please arrive on time out of respect for the rest of the class.
6. Refunds
Fees for a month that has already commenced are non-refundable, including for lessons the student chooses not to attend (make-up arrangements apply as set out above). Where we cancel a lesson and cannot offer a replacement, a pro-rated credit will be applied to the following month.
7. Materials & intellectual property
All worksheets, question banks, worked solutions, recordings and platform content are the intellectual property of The Learning Cave and are provided for the enrolled student's personal use only. They may not be copied, shared, distributed, resold or posted publicly.
8. Online platform & acceptable use
Platform accounts are personal to each student. You agree not to share login details, allow others to use the account, or attempt to copy, scrape or extract content from the platform. We may suspend accounts that are misused.
9. Code of conduct
We expect respectful, cooperative behaviour in all in-person and online lessons. We reserve the right to end a student's enrolment where conduct disrupts learning for others.
10. Media consent
We may occasionally take photos or short videos during lessons for teaching or promotional purposes. Let us know at any time if you would prefer a student not to appear, and we will exclude them.
11. Limitation of liability
We are committed to helping every student improve, but we do not guarantee any particular grade or examination outcome. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the fees paid for the affected lessons.
12. Personal data
We handle personal data in accordance with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and our Privacy Policy.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms or the class schedule from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to enrolled families, and continued attendance constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.
