Privacy Policy
How we collect, use and protect your personal data, in line with Singapore's PDPA.
Last updated: July 2026
The Learning Cave ("we", "us") is committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your rights under Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).
1. Information we collect
- Student details — name, level, school and subjects.
- Contact details — parent/student name, phone number and email.
- Billing information — processed securely by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers.
- Platform activity — questions attempted, answers, submitted working (including uploaded photos), progress and mastery data.
- Communications — messages you send us via WhatsApp, email or the enquiry form.
2. How we use your information
- To deliver tuition, mark work and track each student's progress.
- To operate the online practice platform and personalise practice.
- To process fees and manage enrolment.
- To communicate about lessons, schedules, progress reports and administrative matters.
- To improve our teaching materials and services.
3. Consent
By enrolling and using our services, you consent to the collection and use of personal data as described here. Where the student is a minor, consent is given by the parent or legal guardian.
4. Disclosure to third parties
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us operate — for example, secure payment processing and platform hosting — and only to the extent needed to provide our services. These providers are bound to protect your data.
5. Data retention
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law. When no longer needed, it is securely deleted or anonymised.
6. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse, including access controls and secure, encrypted storage.
7. Your rights
Under the PDPA you may request access to, or correction of, the personal data we hold about you, and you may withdraw consent to its use. To make a request, contact us using the details below. Withdrawing consent may mean we can no longer provide certain services.
8. Children's data
Much of the data we handle relates to students who are minors. We collect and use it for educational purposes only, with parental or guardian consent.
9. Cookies
The student platform uses essential cookies to keep users signed in and to keep sessions secure. These are necessary for the platform to function.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the latest version.
11. Contact
